Principal's Message

Welcome to Chenoweth Elementary School, home of the Beagles!

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I join the Donn B. Chenoweth family as Principal for the 2025–2026 school year. I am honored to become part of this incredible community.

Before joining Chenoweth, I spent 17 years as a classroom teacher in the Merced City School District before moving into administration in 2017. Since then, I’ve served as Learning Director at Gracey Elementary, Vice Principal and Athletic Director at Tenaya Middle School, and most recently, Principal at Tenaya. I also had the opportunity to support schools countywide as a Math Coordinator with the Merced County Office of Education. These experiences have shaped my belief that every child deserves a safe, engaging environment where they are seen, supported, and challenged.

This year, I’m also thrilled to introduce Mrs. Moradi, who will be joining us as Chenoweth’s Learning Director. She comes to us from Cruickshank Middle School, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to student success. Together, we are excited to team up and serve the Chenoweth community with purpose, positivity, and passion.

At Chenoweth, we will hold high expectations for all—students and staff alike—not just academically, but in how we treat one another. We believe that learning happens best when we uphold high standards, take responsibility for our actions, and show kindness and respect every day. Our mission includes supporting students who need it most and challenging those who are ready to go further—because all students deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We know that strong schools are built on strong partnerships. I deeply value the support of our families, and I believe that together, we can create an environment where teachers can teach, students can thrive, and everyone feels a sense of belonging. Your involvement and encouragement will be essential to our shared success.

Chenoweth teachers are known across the district for their expertise, dedication, and heart. It is truly an honor to lead this team and be part of a school community committed to excellence in every way.

Here’s to a year of growth, collaboration, and Beagle Pride!

Kindly,
Amber Hall
